The clients approached us during a transformative phase in their lives, on the brink of becoming empty nesters. The dynamic evolution of a family's needs served as the catalyst for conceptualizing a residence that could embody this transitional state both in thought and experience. To encapsulate the essence of our design process, we turned to the term "liminal," capturing the sensation of inhabiting a transitory space, orchestrating movement through the architecture, and dwelling in the moments between departure and arrival.
