16 McGee Drive | Alys Beach | Inlet Beach, FL

By Michael Madsen in General 25th Jan, 2024 Video Duration: 00:01:03
This magnificent one-of-a-kind home sits on one of the larger corner lots in Alys Beach. Designed by Domin Bock Architects and built by John Galvas, the Moroccan-style architecture creates a stunning vision. This incredible home is centered around a generous open courtyard creating a large outdoor living space. A series of floor to ceiling windows and an open loggia overlook the beautiful oval pool and metal statue. It's a commanding centerpiece with more breathtaking features inside. Twelve-foot ceilings and large Moorish-style windows bathe the great room with natural light, complemented by eclectic lighting gracing each room like reimagined jewelry. The gourmet kitchen is particularly noteworthy with matte black Dacor appliances and waterfall quartz countertops on the island.

It's designed for hosting parties and impressive entertaining. The butler's pantry adds another dimension to this outstanding area with a sink, dishwasher and additional space for preparing food out-of-sight before serving. The beautiful dining area has stunning courtyard views through a series of elegantly shaped arches. Upstairs, the primary master suite includes his-and-hers closets and a palatial bathroom with clear and smoked mirrors and under-lights. The upper hallway has ornate doors leading onto a generous second-floor terrace for enjoying superb views across the whitewashed Alys Beach community. More intimate spaces are tucked away for guests to enjoy their own quiet moments. There's a second master suite on this level and a third guest suite across the courtyard in the west wing. The structure has been fortified to add two additional bedrooms on the upper floor of the west wing, accessed by a walkover from the main house. Beautiful landscaping surrounds the heated saltwater pool, creating an oasis of tranquility. There's an outdoor kitchen for entertaining on a grand scale with two grills, an ice maker and a refrigerator. The covered outdoor living area has a feature fireplace and ample space for private dining. This stunning home is right across the street from Caliza Pool and steps from Zuma with its yoga, massages and fitness classes. Straight down Somerset is the beautiful owners' Beach Club and the Gulf of Mexico. The property is sold furnished with some exclusions.

Black is one of the most versatile colors in design… but the magic happens in what you pair it with. The most elevated spaces use black to create contrast, depth, and balance rather than letting it dominate the room. When paired thoughtfully, black feels
