Home prices in California bounced back in March 2023 as competition increased and inventory fell once again. The median sold price in California jumped 7.6% from Feb 2023 but prices are still down 7% from March 2022. A big problem is low supply as new listings fell on a year-over-year basis for 9 consecutive months. Also, new listings in March 2023 fell 40% from March 2019’s levels. I share these trends and much more including California’s pending home sales, price reductions, home sales and much more.
