Well here is one we haven't been able to bring you before and one we aren't likely to see again! We have two historic fixer-upper beauties for the price of one! We have LONG loved these twin ladies. For many years they were well loved and well kept, but in the last decade we have watched them slowly decline to the condition they are in today.

The good news? There are SO MANY amazing historic features still in these lovlies! The first of the Haliburton sisters still retains it's unbelievavly beautiful majolica glazed tiles in two rooms, and the original mantel pieces surrounding them. Huge eight foot double doors open to a spacious front parlor, that opens to an equally large and bright secondary parlor.

Much of the woodwork remains unpainted, including the breathtaking stair bannister, spindels, newel posts, treads and risers. But the absolute TREASURE in this Victorian home is the hand painted mural that graces the second floor landing. It's so incredibly rare to find a survivor like this, and more than likely only still exists due to being covered for decades by drywall.

The second historic home has faired less well. Her original stained glass remains just like her sisters, present in the transom over the front door and the main window in the front parlor. Sadly, many of her original historic architectural elements have been stripped. We HATE to see this happen, and we are so thriled that the same crime wasn't inflicted on the first sister. We can all mutually rejoice that this properties came up for sale before too much more damage was done...

BUT, can't you just imagine how much fun you could have scouring antique shows, thrift stores, vintage markets and more to find amazing replacements for the missing elements? And more good news; much of the hardest work has been done. Lots of demo has been completed, some wiring, some plumbing, and the foundations on both these ladies are solid as a rock!

Restore both homes, live in one and rent the other. Let the one pay the mortgage for both! This is a high demand area and these are WELL known homes. Let these properties help get you on the restoration nation property ladder!
