Polar Plunge: 3/4 Horsetooth Reservoir

“FREEZIN’ FOR A REASON…it’s the 2017 Polar Plunge presented by Westerra Credit Union. Show your support for over 20,000 Special Olympics athletes in Colorado by plunging into icy waters and raising money for Special Olympics. Registration 3/4/2017 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Seed Swap and Giveaway: 3/4 Old Towne Library – Fort Collins

“This is a FREE event! Join us for our 10th annual seed exchange and seed-starting event. 11AM-1PM limited free seed and seed-starting soil for all attendees. Please bring a bag for soil! Master Gardeners on hand for Q & A 11AM-1PM. 12:30-2:30 PM Free gardening classes (See www.thegrowingproject.org for full schedule). Don’t have seeds to trade? Sharin’ O’ the Green Fun Run: 3/11 Library Park – Fort Collins

“Join us for a 5K race to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in downtown Fort Collins! All proceeds directly benefit Partners Mentoring Youth and the power of local mentoring! The course is fast, flat, USTAF certified, and is chip timed; it is also a Bolder Boulder qualifying course. Wear your finest and most fun green apparel to show off your Irish pride and support a great cause! After the race, stay downtown to enjoy the DBA’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade and to enjoy a beer (21+ only) generously donated by Odell Brewing Company. Historic Hoverhome Public Tour: 3/18 – Longmont

“Tour this beautiful historic 1913-1914 mansion built by Charles, Katherine, and Beatrice Hover. Tours are guided by a trained and costumed docent. Tours start on the hour at 1,2,and 3 P.M., and last about 1 hour. Fee is $8.00 per/person. Harlem Globetrotters: 3/19 Budweiser Events Center

The Harlem Globetrotters are an exhibition basketball team that combines athleticism, theater, and comedy. Over the years they have played more than 26,000 exhibition games in 122 countries and territories. If you haven’t seen them, it is a real treat! Get tickets

Spring Equinox Half Marathon: 3/26 – Fort Collins

Celebrate the First Day of Spring with a Half Marathon or 4 Mile run inn March 26th, 2017. The race starts (9:00 am) and finishes at The Biergarten @ Anheuser-Busch Brewery. The course is run from the brewery on a mix (50/50) of paved and dirt country roads. And don’t miss the post-race party with beer and pancakes! More Info
