Lee Daniels, the Academy Award-nominated writer, director, and producer, has finally found a buyer for his metal-clad compound in Beverly Hills, CA.

Daniels, who is responsible for many film and television hits, bought his Los Angeles pied-a-terre for $4.9 million in 2018.

While he’s a committed New Yorker, Daniels has many Hollywood projects that bring him to the West Coast often. He bought this place after realizing he needed something more permanent than a hotel suite, according to Architectural Digest.

Four years later, the “Empire” co-executive producer is selling. Daniels listed the sleek space for $7.24 million in September 2022. The price was recently cut to $6.24 million and is pending sale.

The 5,245-square-foot, four-bedroom, five-bath home was built in 1952 and underwent a major renovation in 2017, just prior to Daniels’ purchase. His designer friend, Roxy Sowlaty, helped customize the interiors to his personal taste, according to Architectural Digest.

It’s now a masterpiece of wood, stone, and glass, with a sophisticated palette of white, black, and gray. Artful details abound throughout the one-of-a-kind abode.

The foyer is festooned with a tri-level, cascading koi pond beneath a floating staircase. And a unique kitchen is thoughtfully designed with black countertops, a large island, high-end appliances, and cabinets crafted of spectacular natural wood.

The 1,000-square-foot, top-floor primary suite is one of the home’s most remarkable spaces. Oversized windows invite the vibrant outdoor landscape into the room’s design. The suite includes a double-sided fireplace that can be enjoyed from the bedroom or adjacent lounge area. There’s also a luxe walk-in closet, a dressing room, and access to a sizable balcony.

The primary bath dazzles with its all-glass shower, illuminated by a skylight. There’s also a soaking tub with a view—the sunny picture window looks out onto the abundant foliage, which affords complete privacy.

In addition to the projects mentioned above, he is noted for the films “The Woodsman,” “The Butler,” and “The United States vs. Billie Holiday.” His television projects include “Star” and “The Wonder Years” reboot. He’s a producer for the upcoming horror movie, “The Deliverance.”
