A Nashville, TN, home belonging to Michael Moloney of “Extreme Makeover: “Home Edition” has quickly found a buyer. It came on the market just last month for $1,850,000 and went under contract after 10 days.

While the listing agent would not comment on the seller, the listing states that a “highly creative and talented owner bought this property in 2003.”

“We have had multiple offers and have a backup as well,” says listing agent Beth Ligon Molteni, of Fridrich & Clark Realty. “The home has great street appeal, is situated on a walkable street in Nashville, and sits higher than the road. It also has a nice backyard.”

Flexible floorplan

The next owner will have a lot of options with the five-bedroom home, she adds.

“There is a lot of flexibility with the floor plan. For example, in the bedroom, there is a room across from the closet that is being used as a small office that could be turned into a second closet. The bedroom next door could be used as an office. You could also turn it into an exercise room or playroom for the kids. There is a lot of space also for storage.”

Delightful domicile

The 3,826-square-foot home is quite different from the original structure that was built in 1959.

“It started off as a one-story house years ago, and then a second floor was added on,” Molteni says. “The wife is a very talented artist, who used to be a commercial designer. When you walk into the house, it is a delightful space and very bright. The home has a fresh, traditional style that is not super contemporary.”

“If you are looking for your happy place, this is it,” the listing states. With a brightly colored interior like this, it would be hard not to smile.

A living room is decked out in pink and lime green. A spacious dining room features coral curtains and pink walls offset by dark wood floors. The colors carry into the powder room with its swan wallpaper with pink flowers and lime-green vanity.

The half-acre lot boasts a fenced backyard, covered porch, and two-car carport with a storage area.

“All of the buyers who have shown interest in the home have small children and were looking at it as a primary residence,” Molteni adds. “With a price point under $2 million, that was also an appealing factor.”
