We chose a soft, light colour palette throughout to enhance the sense of openness. Behind the staircase, we introduced warm panelling, adding depth and subtle richness to the scheme. The handrail is kept neutral, bringing a gentle country character to the space, which is less formal and not typical on this style of staircase but it makes more inviting and homely. A central table with large flower arrangement anchors the hall and sets the tone as you move through the house. Our client wanted the space to feel a mix of modern and classic, guiding the eye naturally towards the garden beyond. You’ll notice the coffered ceiling beginning here and continuing through towards the dining and living areas, creating cohesion across the ground floor. Light oak flooring runs throughout, complementing the overall scheme. The two arches lead respectively to the cloakroom and the powder room, completing this welcoming entrance.
